Following his UFC 229 knockout win over Alexander Volkov, heavyweight Derrick Lewis took his battle shorts off previous to being interviewed by commentator Joe Rogan.  ‘Why did you’re taking your pants off,” Rogan requested.  Lewis responded with a line that shortly went viral.  “My balls was sizzling,” Lewis answered.

“I have been saying it for awhile now, I remorse saying it,” Lewis informed SHAK MMA.  “It is on a regular basis (that somebody mentions it).  “On a regular basis, all day, so I informed the media, ‘Don’t publish nothing about my sizzling balls this week.  I do not wish to hear nothing about my sizzling balls.'”

Lewis headlines this weekend’s UFC occasion on ESPN towards Fifteenth-ranked Rodrigo Nascimento in St. Louis.  It is the second time the battle promotions has held an occasion in St. Louis and the primary time since January 2018.  

Lewis (27–12, 1 NC) will enter the battle with Nascimento ranked twelfth within the division.  He is coming off a call loss to Jailton Almeida in his final bout and has misplaced 4 of his final 5 fights.  A loss would doubtless see him drop from the rankings altogether.  

Nascimento (11-1, 1 NC) is using a three-fight successful steak and final fought on the identical occasion that Lewis misplaced to Almeida final November.  The Brazilian will climb additional. up the rankings with a win.
