Dallas Mavericks rookie heart Dereck Energetic II was cleared of getting a critical neck damage, after leaving Sport 3 of the Western Convention Finals early. Energetic’s standing for Sport 4 of the sequence on Tuesday is unclear at this level.
Energetic was injured throughout a collision with Karl-Anthony Cities within the first half of Sport 3. Cities’ knee hit Energetic behind the pinnacle, after the rookie heart had fallen to the ground.
Energetic has been a key member of the Mavericks rotation all season. In 15 playoff video games, the Duke product has averaged 8.5 factors, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 21.5 minutes per sport off the Dallas bench.
The Mavericks took a 3-0 sequence lead over the Timberwolves on Sunday. Dallas has an opportunity to shut out the sequence at dwelling on Tuesday.
