Boxing legend Danny Garcia’s Swift Promotions will continue to build off their four-event debut last year by kicking off 2025 with another explosive night of action, as “THE FUTURE IS NOW” comes to the famed 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 8, featuring some of boxing’s most exciting prospects and contenders.

Unbeaten Mathew “Lefty Gunz” Gonzalez (15-0-1, 10 KOs) of Ridgewood, New York, takes on Jino Rodrigo (12-4-2, 10 KOs) of Antipolo City, Rizal, Philippines in an eight-round super lightweight attraction that headlines the card streaming live on BXNG TV beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. In the eight-round co-featured bout, popular super middleweight Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna (38-5-1, 17 KOs), of Millville, New Jersey, will face Noe Alejandro Lopez (11-6-1, 4 KOs) of Spring, TX.

Undefeated welterweight Juan Rivera V (5-0, 3 KOs) of Philadelphia will go against Maracaibo, Venezuela’s Yeifer Valencia (6-4, 5 KOs) in a six-round battle, while super lightweight contender Daiyaan Butt (19-2, 10 KOs) of Newark, New Jersey will go eight rounds against proven veteran Issouf Kinda (20-6, 9 KOs) of the Bronx via Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

In a six-round junior flyweight attraction, rising women’s prospect Nyousha “SuperFly” Nakhjiri (1-0) of Vancouver, Canada via Iran competes against Josefina Vega (9-11, 4 KOs) of New York City via Quito, Ecuador.

Allentown, Pennsylvania, prospect Thanjhae Teasley (11-0, 5 KOs) will put his undefeated record on the line in a super welterweight six-rounder versus the Dominican Republic’s Eudy Bernardo (25-8, 18 KOs).

Unbeaten power-punching super lightweight Thomas Blumenfeld (7-0, 6 KOs) of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, will take on once-beaten rival Frankie Sanchez Jr. (7-1-2, 6 KOs) of Aurora CA, over eight rounds, and rounding out this stacked night of boxing, undefeated Maple Shade, New Jersey, lightweight Justin Palmieri (3-0, 1 KO) will appear in a four-round bout against also undefeated Antonio Gates (3-0, 2 KOs) of Metairie, Louisiana via Chicago.

After putting on four events in the second half of last year, Swift Promotions will surge into 2025 with a loaded fight card all taking place at the classic Philadelphia venue known for boxing action. With a big 2025 in the works, Swift Promotions Founder Danny Garcia believes March 8 will set the tone for the year ahead.

“This is gonna be a can’t-miss night for Swift Promotions to kick off the year with on March 8 at 2300 Arena in Philly,” said boxing legend and Founder and CEO of Swift Promotions Danny Garcia. “We’ve got some of the best young talent in the world going into that ring and I can’t wait for them to display their skills.”

Now fighting out of New Jersey under the Swift Promotions banner, Puerto Rican contender Mathew Gonzalez is unbeaten since turning pro in 2017 and will look to continue his ascent up the 140-pound rankings on March 8. The 29-year-old has scored stoppage victories in five of his last six victories, with the only blemish in his pro career so far coming via a majority draw against Dakota Linger in October 2021. Gonzalez will return to the friendly confines of the 2300 Arena, where his last two victories took place. Those triumphs saw him stop Benjamin Lamptey in round two of their July 2024 clash, before he most recently scored another second-round stoppage, this time over Patrick Okine last September.

A 14-year professional, the likeable “Cornflake” LaManna has previously held the WBC FECARBOX and the New Jersey State Welterweight Championships and, in his most recent fight, captured the World Boxing Association (WBA) middleweight gold belt with a third-round knockout win over Juan Carlos Abreu in June 2024 at Bally’s Atlantic City. LaManna has won his last eight bouts, dating back to 2021.

Born in Iran and representing Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Nyousha Nakhjiri (1-0) was a prolific amateur who amassed a 45-10 record including a gold medal at the Haringey Box Cup, Europe’s largest open tournament. Her amateur run saw her ranked as the No. 1 flyweight on the Canadian National Team before she turned pro last May. The 27-year-old recently joined the Swift Promotions team after a successful pro debut that saw her defeat Frida Citlati Torres Rangel by decision last May.
