UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is anticipated to return to motion in November at Madison Sq. Backyard in opposition to former two-time titleholder Stipe Miocic.

Jones captured the heavyweight title at UFC 295 in March 2023 by making fast work of former interim titleholder Ciryl Gane.  Heading into the battle, Jones had been out of motion for greater than three years, and he hasn’t fought since.

Whereas making ready to face Miocic at UFC at UFC 295 final November, Jones tore a pectoral tendon that successfully put the heavyweight division in limbo.  The battle promotion opted to rebook the match upon Jones’ return.

Former two-division champion Daniel Cormier has fought Jones twice and Miocic 3 times.  Extraordinarily conversant in each males, Cormier warned Jones about overlooking Miocic.

“If I am Jones, I am positively combating Stipe Miocic for 15 million {dollars},” Cormier mentioned on his YouTube channel.  “He mentioned Stipe is outdated.  It seems like Jon Jones is eager to battle the best grossing battle with the least quantity of danger.

“I’ll warn you this, do not overlook Stipe Moicic,” Cormier continued.  “He’s a f**king killer, and for those who overlook him he’ll put you out.  He is simply that good.  42, 35, 31, 38, it do not matter.  Miocic goes to point out up.”

In Jones’ absence, Tom Aspinall was topped the interim heavyweight champion.  He is booked to defend the interim belt in opposition to Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 on July 27.
