Former two-time girls’s bantamweight champion and two-division UFC titleholder Amanda Nunes could have retired in July 2023, however her presence continues to be felt.  

Following her UFC 307 championship win over Raquel Pennington to recaptured the ladies’s 135-pound title, Julianna Peña known as out Nunes for a trilogy struggle.  Peña defeated Nunes at UFC 271 in December 2021 to win the ladies’s bantamweight title the primary time.  Nunes completely dominated Peña within the rematch at UFC 277.      

Peña wasn’t the one bantamweight calling out Nunes following UFC 307.  Two-time Olympic gold medalist and second-ranked contender Kayla Harrison mentioned she wished to be the one to welcome Nunes again if she decides to return in the course of the occasion’s post-fight press convention.   

Nunes took to social media with a response to the decision outs telling UFC CEO Dana White to name her.  “Please name me.  I miss you a lot,” she mentioned in an Instagram video.

Throughout Tuesday’s Dana White’s Contender Sequence Put up-fight Press Convention, White reacted to Nunes teasing a attainable return to the octagon.  

“She appears good.  She appears nice.  She appears like she’s nonetheless in form.  You understand the place her head’s at and I really like that about her,” White mentioned about Nunes.  “She’s keeping track of who wins the title subsequent.  I feel she’s teasing that she is likely to be serious about coming again.”

“I really like Amanda Nunes.  I’ve an unbelievable relationship together with her,” White continued.  “I might completely like to see her come again.”
