Could Christian Pulisic link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr? His reported Saudi Pro League interest response speaks volumes

Done deal: Juventus has reportedly agreed a deal to sign Conceicao

Speculation around the future of one of AC Milan’s most valuable assets reached new heights this summer, with links emerging suggesting that a move to the Saudi Pro League could be in the works. Rumors swirled that Christian Pulisic might be tempted to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema by heading to the Middle East’s growing soccer project.

But when the dust settled, a decision was made—one that could shape both Milan’s 2025-26 campaign and the long-term legacy of this American star in Europe.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and Rudy Galetti, Al-Nassr identified Christian Pulisic as a key transfer target to bolster their attacking firepower ahead of the new season. The Riyadh-based side, home to Cristiano Ronaldo, is preparing for a pivotal year as Saudi Arabia builds momentum toward hosting the 2034 World Cup.

Al-Nassr’s interest reportedly extended to pairing Pulisic with Aymeric Laporte, a move that would strengthen both ends of the pitch. The thought of combining Ronaldo, Mane, and Pulisic in the same forward line stirred global attention, particularly as Saudi clubs continue to lure top-tier players with staggering salary offers—some reportedly surpassing $1 million per week.

Corriere dello Sport added that although no official bid had been submitted, Jorge Jesus’s side was preparing a formal approach, banking on the possibility of turning heads with their financial muscle.

How did Christian Pulisic reportedly respond?

Despite the massive interest from the Gulf, Corriere dello Sport confirmed this week that Christian Pulisic has firmly rejected a move to Al-Nassr. The USMNT forward has no interest in joining the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career and is said to be extremely content with life in Milan.

“Pulisic does not want to move to the Saudi Pro League, and is in fact very happy at Milan at present,” the outlet stated.

The American’s current contract runs until June 2027, and while renewal talks have slowed, there is optimism within the Rossoneri camp that a deal can be reached, potentially with improved terms. Sources inside the club believe a two-year extension could be finalized during the season, especially now under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Chance to continue renaissance at San Siro under new coach

Since joining Milan from Chelsea in July 2023, Pulisic has rediscovered his best form. In 100 appearances, he has contributed 32 goals and 23 assists, including 29 direct goal involvements in the 2024-25 season alone. Those numbers have re-established him as one of the top attacking talents in Italy.

Massimiliano Allegri, renowned for his tactical flexibility and ability to get the most out of his forwards, has reportedly been impressed with Pulisic’s performance in the early stages of pre-season.

“In these early days of training, Christian Pulisic has stood out for his professionalism and technical qualities,” wrote Corriere dello Sport, noting the coach’s appreciation for his versatility in attacking roles. “There’s a strong bond developing between Allegri and the squad, with Pulisic leading by example.”
