Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame large receiver Randy Moss stated Friday he’s being handled for most cancers and is recovering from main surgical procedure.

In an look on Instagram Stay, Moss, aided by a cane, launched himself as a most cancers survivor and thanked his “prayer warriors” for his or her assist.

Moss stated a cancerous mass was present in his bile duct, between his pancreas and liver. He stated he had surgical procedure to place a stent in his liver on Thanksgiving after which underwent a six-hour process a couple of week in the past to take away the most cancers. He stated he was hospitalized for six days and launched on Friday.

The surgical procedure was a Whipple process, Moss stated. The operation includes eradicating the top of the pancreas, a part of the small gut, the gallbladder and the bile duct, in keeping with the Mayo Clinic.

“I didn’t suppose I’d ever be able like this, as wholesome as I assumed I used to be,” Moss stated.

Moss stated he’ll endure radiation and chemotherapy.

“All of the prayers, the properly needs, I actually felt that, my household felt that,” Moss stated, sporting a hoodie with the phrases “Group Moss”.

Moss stepped away from his position as an analyst on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown on 6 December.

“As quickly as I get wholesome to get again out with guys, I will likely be on set. … Hopefully I will be with you guys quickly,” Moss stated.

“My objective is to get again on tv with my group.”

Moss wore a grey hoodie with the phrases “Group Moss” and requested for donations on his web site, saying the cash would go primarily towards most cancers analysis.

The 47-year-old Moss was inducted into the Corridor of Fame in 2018 after enjoying 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (1998-2004, 2010), Oakland Raiders (2005-06), New England Patriots (2007-10), Tennessee Titans (2010) and San Francisco 49ers (2012).

Moss is second in NFL historical past with 156 landing catches and had an NFL-record 23 TD receptions in 2007 for the Patriots.
