Conor McGregor believes his hand has been forced and that he must run for Presidency in Ireland to end his country’s recent failings.
There has been a wave of crimes being committed in the country of Ireland by immigrants over the past few years. Women and children have seemingly been targeted by these attacks and are being left in critical condition, but McGregor isn’t accepting it anymore.
The UFC star insists those who run Ireland are neglecting their own people, believing it’s time for a change.
While speaking to Tucker Carlson, Conor McGregor revealed how his home country is doing.
“Like a lot of countries in the Western Hemisphere, it is being governed by people with ill intentions of its people,” McGregor said. “They have not got the interests of their people at its heart.”
“However, our country stays strong. Our people are strong-willed, strong-minded, and we are of amazing spirits.”
McGregor claims that time and resources are being spent fixing the problems in foreign countries opposed to those Ireland is facing.
“We often hear, and very hastily hear, about overseas issues or foreign affairs. We hear about it so much that we are left scratching our heads, well, what about our issues?”
“What about the issues the people of Ireland face? And that is a rising sentiment that is taking place behind the doors of every household in the country. What about us?”
“Right now, the citizens of Ireland, not only do we not feel like first-rate citizens, we don’t even feel third-rate citizens in our own country. So, we continue to highlight the wrongdoings of a minute government elite.”
Despite being able to sail off into the sunset and enjoy the millions he has made throughout the years, a passionate McGregor claimed that Ireland is his country and he will fight for it until the day he dies.
The 36-year-old considers that the bar has been set so low by the politicians of Ireland that he can make instant progression should he be installed in office.
“If I was to get in and have influence, I really fancy my chances. I mean, the bar is so low. Every statistic, every metric is on the floor. Every metric is on the floor.”
“I’d get in and I’d be able to decrease our homelessness, build our housing, slow down the role of influx of illegal migration, [and] control the spending. I fancy it.”

“Our country has not been run correctly, and it is clearly evident to everybody outside of the political pay wall. Everyone is aware of it.”
“And even those inside of the political pay wall are also aware of it. However, they are being bullied, intimidated, and threatened with their livelihood unless they go along with it.”
McGregor continued.
“A turn will happen, a shift will happen. I’m doing my part and I’m proud to do so, I’m honored to do so, and I will continue to fight for my country and the future of the children of this nation.”
