Conor McGregor teased a return to the octagon on Tuesday. The former two-division UFC champion took to social media to say that he has ‘unfinished business’ with Michael Chandler.

Talks of a McGregor and Chandler fight has been in the making since they coached The Ultimate Fighter 31 as opposing coaches in 2023. They were scheduled to headline UFC 303 last June but McGregor was forced out of the fight due to a toe injury.

Chandler quickly responded to McGregor’s post on X with “Unfinished Business Loading….” Chandler then posted for McGregor to “Dust off the old contract and add some new ink. I’m ready tomorrow.”

McGregor last fought at UFC 264 in July 2021 losing to Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight after suffering a broken leg. Before he could return, McGregor would have to re-enter the anti-doping testing program. McGregor hasn’t been tested by Drug Free Sport International (DFSI), the agency the fight promotion uses to collect samples, this year. Typically, fighters are required to be in the testing pool for six months prior to being granted a license to compete.
