Manchester United have named a strong side for their Premier League trip to Bournemouth despite their season resting entirely on the Europa League.

United face Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their semi-final tie on Thursday, with that competition the only trophy the Red Devils can win and their sole possible route to the Champions League.

But Ruben Amorim is still taking Premier League games seriously, and has picked a first-choice XI for a meeting with a Bournemouth side chasing European football.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has named an unchanged side from last week’s goalless draw at Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth team news

There is a boost for the Cherries, with midfielder Lewis Cook fit enough for a place on the bench.

Evanilson leads the line with six goals in his last eight games.  Forwards Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert each scored in Bournemouth’s 3-0 win at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture.

Bournemouth’s win over Fulham in their last home game ended a run of four successive defeats in the league at the Vitality Stadium. Iraola’s men have not scored more than once in a home game since the 5-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest in January.

Bournemouth XI: Kepa, Smith, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez, Scott, Adams, Semenyo, Kluivert, Ouattara, Evanilson

Subs: Dennis, Cook, Senesi, Brooks, Tavernier, Soler, Jebbison, Araujo, Hill

Manchester United team news

Amorim has made five changes from the United team that suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Wolves last time out.

Among those changes is a first league start for Luke Shaw since February last year.

Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are all back in the starting XI.

Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Manuel Ugarte, Tyler Fredricson and Harry Amass drop down to the bench.

Man Utd XI: Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro, Dorgu, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Shaw, Garnacho, Mainoo, Hojlund

Subs: Heaton, Lindelof, Mount, Eriksen, Ugarte, Evans, Amass, Fredricson, Obi
