Lawrence Frank stated the Los Angeles Clippers “very upset” with USA Basketball’s choice to interchange Kawhi Leonard on the Olympic workforce roster final week. USA Basketball implied that Leonard wasn’t on the workforce in a transfer that was influenced by the Clippers and Group USA officers after seeing him throughout camp.

“No, it was USAB’s name and I used to be fairly frankly very upset with the choice,” Frank stated. “Kawhi needed to play. We needed him to play. I used to be there the primary two practices, he appeared excellent. Was a full participant in all the things that they did. I wasn’t there for the third follow the place finally that was the purpose the place they determined to go in a distinct route [last Wednesday].

“I expressed to them I actually want that they might’ve given Kawhi extra time.”

Frank was requested if Leonard underwent any sort of procedures or remedy to his proper knee earlier than USA Basketball camp.

“I am not going to get into the specifics of form of what’s been occurring,” Frank stated. “All I am going to inform you is that he spent an excessive amount of time preparing for this. He had a very strong development. He appeared good within the practices.”
