Christian Pulisic set for pay boost: Details of the new Milan contract and what it means for UMSNT star’s future

Christian Pulisic is expected to get a substantial new deal as Milan’s unpredictable season comes to a conclusion, in recognition of his outstanding play. The American has quickly become one of the team’s most important players, and now, the club is moving decisively to secure his future.

With fresh details of a lucrative renewal emerging, the Rossoneri appear eager to ensure that the American star remains central to their project for years to come. For now, the full terms remain under wraps—but the signs point to a deal that reflects both the player’s value and the club’s long-term ambitions.

Since arriving from Chelsea for just over $24 million, Pulisic has flourished in Italy. After years of inconsistency and injuries in the Premier League, he has rediscovered the explosive form that made him a rising star at Borussia Dortmund. In his first full season in Italy, the 26-year-old leads the team with 16 goals and has contributed 11 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

That level of production places him among Milan’s most consistent and decisive figures, especially during a season marred by underperformance from others in the squad. “Whenever he has been needed, the American has regularly provided, often when others around him have not,” wrote Goal, noting his reliability in the face of the club’s broader struggles.

Even as the team slipped to ninth in the Serie A table, Pulisic remained a shining light. He recently became the first Red and Blacks player since Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score at least 15 goals in both of his first two seasons with the club—an elite milestone that speaks volumes about his influence and consistency.

Milan’s plan to lock down USMNT star

With just two years left on his current deal, which expires in 2027, Milan is wasting no time. According to Goal, the Rossoneri are preparing to offer Pulisic a four-year renewal that would extend his contract through to 2029. The new deal would also come with a deserved pay bump—from his current $4.5 million per year to around $5.6 million.

The move is about more than just recognition. The Italian outfit knows that the 26-year-old’s form has likely turned heads elsewhere, and tying him down protects the club from outside interest while also reinforcing their commitment to building around him.

“There were whispers about a new contract being prepared for him – to reward his performances and protect the club further from interested parties,” the report added.
