Chris Sutton believes Newcastle United are in peril of dropping Eddie Howe following a disappointing summer time switch window.

The Magpies introduced in William Osula and Lloyd Kelly as their solely outfield sayings alongside making Lewis Corridor’s mortgage from Chelsea everlasting.

That was regardless of being linked with a number of high-profile strikes, most notably Marc Guehi.

Newcastle noticed a number of bids turned down by Crystal Palace for Guehi, who has caught the attention during the last couple of years at membership degree and for his wonderful performances at Euro 2024 for England.

That has left Howe with a headache at centre-back, with Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles each nonetheless recovering from long-term accidents.

‘Alarm bells ringing’ at Newcastle over Howe future, says Sutton

Eddie Howe, head coach of Newcastle United applauds the followers after the Premier League match between Newcastle United FC and Southampton FC at St James’ Park on August 17, 2024 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Regardless of the membership sitting fifth with seven factors from three Premier League video games, Sutton believes Newcastle followers have each cause to be nervous about the way forward for their supervisor.

The previous Blackburn Rovers striker places that largely all the way down to their failure to safe Guehi, coupled with the stories linking Howe to the England nationwide group job.

“It’s fascinating what’s occurring at Newcastle, at this second in time,” mentioned Sutton (through HITC). “From the skin, and I’m not on the within at Newcastle, if I’m a Newcastle fan, then there are alarm bells ringing.

“He (Howe) appears to make Marc Guehi his primary goal. They didn’t get that over the road. He spoke about considerations in the summertime that they weren’t in alignment, the membership hierarchy and Eddie Howe.

“It wouldn’t be a terrific shock to see Eddie Howe as the subsequent England supervisor. Newcastle followers should be involved. What occurs subsequent at Newcastle?”
