Eagles schedule preview: Las Vegas Raiders

On Tuesday, the NFL transactions report listed two roster moves for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The team has waived defensive tackle Siaki Ika. Taking his place on the roster is tight end Kevin Foelsch.

Ika was a third-round pick (98th overall) out of Baylor for the Cleveland Browns in 2023. He appeared in four games in his rookie season — getting all of his snaps on special teams — before the Browns released him on 2024’s final cutdown day. He spent time on the practice squads for Cleveland and the Philadelphia Eagles before joining Kansas City’s practice squad in mid-December. The Chiefs signed him to a Reserve/Futures contract after the Super Bowl, but couldn’t find a niche for him to fill on the 90-man roster.

Foelsch also spent time on the Eagles’ practice squad in 2024, but only after being with the Carolina Panthers (who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of New Haven in May), the New York Jets (who claimed him on waivers from Carolina only days later) and finally the Eagles, who claimed him on waivers in early August. He spent the season going on and off the Philadelphia practice squad before being released for good in late December.

Now 24, Foelsch checks in at 6 feet 4 and 250 pounds. He appeared in 42 games over four seasons at New Haven, collecting 73 receptions for 660 yards and 16 touchdowns.
