Chelsea are interested in signing Jules Kounde from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. The report has revealed that the Blues have been in constant contacts with the agents of the defender despite the France international turning down a move to Stamford Bridge in 2022.
Kounde will have two more years left on his contract at Barcelona at the end of the season, and the La Liga leaders are keen on him signing a new deal. Talks between the two parties over a new contract have already taken place, but it is not clear if Kounde, who can operate as a right-back or centre-back, will put pen to paper on a new deal.
Chelsea wanted to sign Kounde back in the summer of 2022, but the defender chose to move to Barcelona from Sevilla at the time. The Premier League club have continued to monitor the defender’s progress at Barcelona and would love to bring him to Stamford Bridge. TBR has revealed that Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested in a summer deal for the 26-year-old.
