Wednesday morning, the NBA introduced the schedule for the upcoming first-round sequence’ of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, together with Boston’s conflict with a still-undetermined opponent.

Boston will host the winner of the 8-seed Play-In Sport to kick off their first-round sequence at 1 pm EST on Sunday, April 21. The remaining schedule for the sequence shall be as follows, per NBA.com:

Sport 1: TBD at Celtics – Sunday, April 21 (1 pm EST on ABC)

Sport 2: TBD at Celtics – Wednesday, April 24 (7 pm EST on TNT)

Sport 3: Celtics at TBD – Saturday, April 27 (6 pm EST on TNT)

Sport 4: Celtics at TBD – Monday, April 29 (Time/Community TBD)

Sport 5: TBD at Celtics – Wednesday, Could 1 (Time/Community TBD)*

Sport 6: Celtics at TBD – Friday, Could 3 (Time/Community TBD)*

Sport 7: TBD at Celtics – Sunday, Could 5 (Time/Community TBD)*

*if mandatory

The Celtics gained’t discover out their actual opponent till late the evening of April 19, after the conclusion of the 8-seed Play-In Sport at 7 pm EST on ESPN. This recreation will pit the winner of the Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks 9-10 matchup and the loser of the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami Warmth 7-8 matchup, with the winner advancing with the 8 seed.

As of now, the Celtics might theoretically play any of the 4 Japanese Convention Play-In groups, although Wednesday evening will whittle the choices down to 2 groups. Whoever wins 76ers-Warmth will face the Knicks in Spherical 1, and the loser of Bulls-Hawks shall be eradicated.

Tune into ESPN tonight at 7:00 pm EST and once more at 9:30 pm EST to search out out which two groups could possibly be touring to Boston this weekend.
