Getting their Champions League play-off adventure underway on Wednesday night, Bayern Munich will travel to Glasgow when they meet Celtic.

Although Vincent Kompany’s men might have been disappointed last week as they missed out on a top-eight finish, the German giants will be looking to claim a first-leg advantage here.

While Celtic might open Wednesday’s showdown facing a real challenge on Glasgow, the Hoops are enjoying another stellar purple patch and they will be confident of asking some real questions in midweek.

In a showdown between two European heavyweights, we have taken a look at some of the most appealing Celtic vs Bayern Munich bet builder tips.

Bayern looking to make an early statement

While some around the Allianz might have been shocked last summer following Kompany’s arrival, Bayern are clearly enjoying life under the former Burnley boss and are regarded as a potential European dark horse this season.

Holding a commanding eight-point buffer at the top of the Bundesliga table and sat firmly in the driving seat to reclaim their domestic crown in 2025, the German giants find the mood in their camp at a real high.

Along with winning each of their previous four appearances across all competitions, it appears that their infamous 3-0 loss away at Feyenoord last month was nothing more than a minor blip.

In fact, Kompany’s men have won eight of their previous nine matchups across all fronts and they will be looking to claim a first-leg advantage in Glasgow on Wednesday night.

Although Celtic might have gained a real reputation for their rugged success on home soil, the Hoops will be more than aware that they have a heavyweight challenge on their hands in midweek.

Another frantic affair in Glasgow

While Celtic might have eventually fallen to a dramatic 4-2 loss away at Premier League outfit Aston Villa on January 29th, the Hoops have received plenty of plaudits and will be confident of asking some real questions here.

Extending on their Scottish Cup adventure last weekend as they cruised their way to a 5-0 romp against Raith Rovers, Brendan Rodgers’ side have won their previous three appearances across all competitions by an aggregate score of 14-1.

Likewise, Celtic have recorded at least a trio of goals in seven of their previous 10 showdowns in Glasgow and they will be looking to test a Bayern Munich defence that have shown some inconsistencies.

Signing off their Champions League group stage adventure with a routine 3-1 victory against Slovan Bratislava, Bayern Munich are also enjoying a dominant free-scoring run in the final third.

Cruising their way to a 3-0 romp against Werder Bremen last time out, Kompany’s men have won their previous four appearances across all competitions by an aggregate score of 12-5.

Bet Builder Tip: Goal to be scored in both halves @ 3/5 with BetUS

Kane to play a leading role in Glasgow

While there might have been plenty of speculation during the January transfer window that Harry Kane could be eyeing a speedy Premier League return, the England skipper is certainly enjoying life over in Germany.

Only continuing to break a string of records since arriving at the Allianz, Kompany’s striking talisman will have another leading role to play in Glasgow on Wednesday night.

Once again bagging another Bundesliga brace against Werder Bremen last weekend, the former Tottenham ace has now recorded 21 goals in his 19 Bundesliga appearances this season.

In fact, along with finding the net against Slovan Bratislava on January 29th, Kane has notched six goals in his seven Champions League showdowns.

Enjoying another sensational run of form and registering eight goals across all competitions since returning from Germany’s festive break, Kane will be looking to extend on his record-breaking romp here.

Bet Builder Tip: Harry Kane over 1.5 shots on target @ 4/5 with Dachbet
