A welterweight bout between fifteenth ranked Neil Magny and rising prospect Carlos Prates headlined Saturday’s UFC Vegas 100 battle card on the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.  

Magny has confronted the who’s who of the welterweight division however has struggled to place collectively again to again win over the past couple of years. Prates seems to be to crack the Prime 15 rankings with a win over the UFC veteran and entered the battle using a 10-fight winner streak.

Prates circled free and landed a left hand.  Prates started stalking Magny.  A brief elbow dropped Magny.  Prates let him up.  Prates regarded for the end and linked with a proper hand.  Magny grabbed a leg however Prates bought free.  Within the closing seconds of the spherical, Prates landed a left. hand that crumbled Magny face down on the canvas.  

The official time of the stoppage was 4:50 of the primary spherical.
