Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will not participate in the NBA vs. WNBA 3-point challenge at next month’s NBA All-Star Game festivities, opting to make her 3-point contest debut at the WNBA’s All-Star Game in July.

“Caitlin will not be at NBA All-Star,” her representatives at Excel Sports Management said in a statement to . “She wants her first 3-point contest to be at WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis this summer.”

Clark’s participation would have come on the heels of a successful competition last year between Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu. Curry edged Ionescu 29-26 in the single-round shooting challenge that easily upstaged the NBA’s regular 3-point contest. The event was held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Ionescu has not publicly confirmed whether she will participate in any of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities this year. She is currently playing in Unrivaled, the new professional women’s basketball 3×3 league that launched earlier this month.

However, the Liberty star acknowledged during a recent Unrivaled media availability that she will miss some games because of additional obligations (she did not play in Phantom’s games last week while in Paris for the NBA Paris Games) and that she will be in the Bay Area for NBA All-Star Weekend. The festivities will take place in San Francisco from Feb. 14-16.

“I’m from the Bay,” Ionescu said.

The WNBA’s All-Star Weekend will take place in Indianapolis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Fever and the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, on July 18 and 19.
