The Jets have been lacking the person in the midst of their protection on Thursday evening as linebacker C.J. Mosley was dominated out of the sport with a toe damage.
Mosley has been a fixture within the Jets protection for the final 4 seasons and is the play caller for the protection who wears the speaker in his helmet to get the calls from the coaches.
Mosley injured his toe early in Sunday’s win over the Titans and left the sport.
Mosley didn’t follow this week and was listed as questionable on the damage report.
Mosley advised ESPN that he sprained his proper huge toe.
The excellent news is it’s not a turf toe or a damaged bone.
The Jets now have a while off earlier than going through the Broncos on Sept. 29, so Mosley has time to heal.
Jamien Sherwood began rather than Mosley.
