Bryce Mitchell claims Jean Silva sending ‘legions of demons’ to haunt his dreams; Silva responds

Bryce Mitchell might need a good night’s sleep.

The veteran featherweight, who returns to action at UFC 314 in April in his first appearance since going on a rant defending Adolf Hitler and denying the Holocaust, took to social media to ask for prayers to help him find peace during his dreams.

Why you ask?

Because Mitchell believes his upcoming opponent Jean Silva has sent demons after him as some kind of mental warfare to test him before they set foot in the octagon to do battle in Miami.

“Every single night since the day before the press conference, I’ve had demonic dreams,” Mitchell said on Instagram. “Legions of demons are attacking me every single time I sleep and not one time have I seen any peaceful sleep since that day.

“These demons surround me and they try to fight me and provoke me to anger and then the dream will switch and they’ll send beautiful women and they’re trying to get me to lust. To cheat on my wife. Satan’s using two of my weaknesses to try and expose the evil in my own heart, which is anger and lust.”

Mitchell went on to blame Silva for his problems sleeping because this whole issue started right around the time they first met during a pre-fight press conference to promote their upcoming fight.

“I’m not just fighting a man on April 12,” Mitchell said. “I’m fighting a man possessed by a legion of demons. When I simply said the name Jesus, he was provoked to maliciousness and he started barking like a dog and chanting ‘f – you, f- you, f- you.’”

The video posted by Mitchell got more than a few curious responses, and Silva actually took to Twitter to educate his opponent on the problems he might be facing while trying to sleep.

“Bryce, two things, these are not demons, it’s just you being afraid to face me and second about the beautiful women you have a hormone called testosterone and you probably have problems with it,” Silva wrote. “Just be ready for April 12th, because I will be.”

Beyond Silva’s comment, former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland also offered Mitchell some advice when it came to the kinds of dreams he’s having at night.

“Dawg, it’s a dream,” Strickland wrote. “Go full send on the woman. It ain’t real.”

Outside of sleep deprivation and potential demonic possession, Mitchell faces Silva in an intriguing featherweight bout at UFC 314. The fight serves as a chance for Mitchell to notch a second straight victory after beating Kron Gracie in his most recent appearance while Silva has been nothing but impressive since joining the UFC roster with four straight wins all by knockout.
