With organized team activities (OTAs) just a few days away, Denver Broncos starting quarterback Bo Nix is making the most of his time in the Centennial State this offseason.
In a little over 24 hours over Memorial Day weekend, the 25-year-old Nix was very visible around Denver, even without his Broncos jersey on.
A public-facing weekend for Nix began on Friday night at Coors Field as he threw out the first pitch before the Colorado Rockies hosted the New York Yankees. With a sellout crowd in attendance, Nix delivered a strike to set the tone for the night, with the Rockies eventually recording a stunning 3-2 win for just their ninth victory on the season.
Nix threw out the first pitch to Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck, someone Nix encountered during his high school football days in Alabama. Beck also gave a hat tip to Nix, wearing Broncos-themed cleats during the game as well as first-pitch ceremonies.
