Bitesize Prediction: Spennymoor vs Needham Market – 18/03/25

Competition: National League North

Market: Spennymoor win

Odds: 2/3 @ Pribet

Hoping to extend their stay in the top-half of the National League North table, Spennymoor will welcome Needham Market to Durham on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, making an immediate return to winning ways over the weekend as they stormed their way to a stellar 3-0 romp away at King’s Lynn, Spennymoor will be seeking a repeat performance here. While Graeme Lee’s side might have accepted that they will be unable to punch a play-off ticket this season, the Durham-based outfit are enjoying what has been an extended flurry over the past six weeks. Extending on their FA Trophy adventure on March 1st as they secured a shock 2-0 victory against National League side Sutton, the former Hartlepool boss has seen his squad suffer just a pair of defeats from any of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions. Skyrocketing their way into the top-half of the table, Spennymoor will also be excited by their continued dominance on home soil. In fact, Tuesday’s hosts have lost just one of their last 12 showdowns in Durham – a purple patch that stems all the way back to October 29th.

As for the visitors, getting Tuesday’s trip to Durham underway with just their goal difference keeping them outside the drop zone, Needham Market have a real battle on their hands in the race to avoid an immediate seventh-tier return. Although the Reds might have snatched a shock 2-1 victory at home against play-off contenders Chorley last weekend, that is the only win that Tom Rothery’s side have collected from their previous six National League North appearances. Hit with a woeful 5-0 drumming at the hands of Scarborough earlier in the month, the Suffolk-based outfit have also registered just a victory point from their last six showdowns away from Bloomfields. Likewise, Tuesday’s guests have also lost four of those six appearances on the road. Failing to claim consecutive National League North victories since the start of September, Needham Market should have another stern challenge on their hands in midweek.

Bet: Spennymoor 2/3 to beat Needham Market in Tuesday’s National League North matchup @ Pribet
