Bayern Munich are interested in signing Ronald Araujo from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The German club have already started to make moves to bring the defender to the Allianz Arena, and Barcelona are aware that they will have to sell him if they get a good offer.

Araujo has been at Barcelona since 2018 and has won the La Liga title once with Barca. The Uruguay international defender, who can operate as a central defender or as a right-back, has scored 10 goals and given seven assists in 170 appearances for Barca so far in his career. The 26-year-old has played 20 matches in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.

Bayern are at the top of the Bundesliga table at the moment with 75 points from 31 matches, eight points clear of second-placed and defending champions Bayer Leverkusen. Meanwhile, Barcelona currently find themselves at the top of the La Liga table with 76 points from 33 games, four points clear of second-placed and defending champions Real Madrid.
