Barcelona are interested in signing Julian Alvarez from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the Blaugrana are ready to pay €60 million for the former Manchester City striker.
Alvarez joined Atletico from Man City in the summer of 2024. The Argentina international striker has been superb for Diego Simeone’s side this season and has been a star player for the Madrid outfit. The 25-year-old Argentina international striker has scored 20 goals and given five assists in 39 matches in all competitions for Atleti so far this season.
Barcelona are at the top of the La Liga table at the moment with 54 points from 25 matches, level on points with second-placed and defending champions Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Atletico currently find themselves third in the standings with 53 points from 25 games.
