Juventus star called up for international duty despite his poor form

FC Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a sensational €40 million move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who is currently enjoying a career renaissance on loan at Aston Villa.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Catalan giants are preparing a bid to bring the 26-year-old England international to Camp Nou. With Barcelona still rebuilding under Hansi Flick, Rashford’s speed, flair, and direct attacking style are seen as a perfect fit for the new system taking shape in Catalonia.

Rashford Revitalised at Aston Villa

After a few turbulent seasons at Old Trafford, Rashford has rediscovered his best form under Unai Emery at Villa Park. His performances have been electric — combining athleticism, sharp finishing, and confidence — making him a key figure in Villa’s top-four push.

That upturn hasn’t gone unnoticed. Barcelona’s interest signals serious intent, especially as United may be tempted to cash in with a squad overhaul looming. A €40 million offer could be tough to ignore.

A Dream Move to Spain?

Sources close to Rashford suggest the forward has long admired Spanish football. A switch to La Liga — with Champions League football and the allure of Camp Nou — could offer the fresh start he craves.

With the summer window fast approaching, this could be one of the standout transfer sagas. For Rashford, it’s a chance to reignite his career on one of the biggest stages. For Barcelona, it might just be the perfect €40 million gamble.
