According to Spanish outlet Relevo, Barcelona would be willing to offer Ronald Araujo to Liverpool in exchange for Luis Diaz.
Diaz’s form this season could best be described as patchy, but the 28-year-old winger still appears to be an important part of Arne Slot’s squad as they move ever closer to securing a record-equaling 20th league title in England. In all competitions, the Colombia international has scored 13 goals and contributed eight assists across 43 matches in 2024/25. Playing predominantly on the left attacking flank, Diaz has shown ability to perform the task of a ‘false nine’ as well.
There are two years remaining on his current contract, and with Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa being the forwards reportedly set to leave Anfield this summer, Liverpool aren’t very likely to consider parting ways with Diaz too. There is, of course, the uncertainty of the future of Mohamed Salah to consider as well.
Meanwhile, Araujo spent almost a half of the season sidelined with a hamstring injury, and he’s been struggling for game-time against Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez.
