Arsenal are facing a struggle to sign Jules Kounde from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to El Nacional. The report has claimed that the Gunners have shown interest in a summer deal for the defender, but he has made it clear that he wants to stay at Barcelona.
However, Arsenal have not given up on the prospect of convincing Kounde to move to the Emirates Stadium this summer. The North London club, who have progressed to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, could make a formal bid of €60-65 million for the 26-year-old, who can play as a right-back or centre-back.
Kounde has been on the books of Barcelona since 2022 when he joined from La Liga rivals Sevilla. The Frenchman has scored three goals and given eight assists in 51 appearances for the Blaugrana so far this season. Barcelona could win La Liga, the UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey this season.
