Marcus Rashford’s career seemed to be at a crossroads before his loan move to Aston Villa, but the England international has now reignited his form under Unai Emery. The Englishman has been a key player for Villa, showcasing his ability to create and convert chances at a high level. He provided two crucial assists off the bench in a thrilling comeback victory, reminding everyone of the quality that once made him indispensable at Manchester United.

His time at Old Trafford, however, had taken a drastic turn for the worse. Rashford had fallen out of favor under Ruben Amorim, who exiled him from the squad amid concerns over his commitment. Despite reported interest from Milan, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund, no concrete offers materialized in January, leading to a last-minute loan move to Aston Villa.

Under Unai Emery, Rashford has started to rediscover his best form. The Spanish manager’s tactical setup, which emphasizes attacking open spaces, plays to the forward’s strengths. Although not guaranteed a starting spot due to Villa’s attacking depth, Rashford has delivered a string of positive performances, showing glimpses of the player who once lit up the Premier League.

For Manchester United, Rashford’s return to form could likely present an opportunity to secure a significant transfer fee. With his wages among the highest between the Red Devils, selling him to a top European club could help free up financial resources for squad reinforcements.

Rashford makes up mind on Manchester United return

Rashford appears to have found the ideal environment to reignite his career. He is reportedly happy in Birmingham and has no intention of returning to Manchester United once his loan expires. According to Fichajes, while the striker is not focusing on his future just yet, he has already made up his mind that a return to Old Trafford is not part of his plans.

The forward credits his Spanish boss with restoring his confidence and giving him an important role within the team. His attitude in training has reportedly improved significantly, dispelling the doubts that plagued him during his final months at United. With his form picking up, Rashford has reclaimed his status as one of the most influential attackers in English soccer.

La Liga dream not fading away

Despite Villa having the option to sign Rashford permanently for $50 million in June, reports from Football Insider suggest that Barcelona remain on high alert over the possibility of signing him in the summer. The La Liga giants had expressed interest in Rashford during the January transfer window, but a formal offer never materialized. With his future yet to be determined, the Blaugrana could make their move if Aston Villa decide not to activate their purchase clause.

However, Hansi Flick’s side are not alone in their pursuit. As per the report, Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation, with both clubs prepared to swoop in should Villa opt against signing Rashford. However, the Catalan club could hold a crucial advantage—the player himself reportedly favors a move to La Liga over remaining in the Premier League.
