Sri Lanka will take on Bangladesh in the second of the three-match T20I series. This article provides details about Bangladesh’s Playing 11 vs Sri Lanka for the second match of the series.

Bangladesh Playing 11 vs Sri Lanka- 2nd T20I, Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka 2025:

Openers: Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon

Bangladesh will continue to open the innings with Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain Emon.

The duo also opened the batting for Bangladesh in the three ODIs that preceded the T20I series and in the first T20I as well.

Having said that, both batters are yet to form a big partnership at the top of the order, having failed to do so in the four white ball matches previously.

The above-mentioned information is backed by the fact that although the openers added 46 runs for the first wicket in the first T20I but Bangladesh were able to post only a par total on a good batting wicket.

The pair will look to get things right in the second game of the series, which also happens to be a do-or-die game.

If we talk about the individual performance of Emon and Tanzid Hasan, it hasn’t been impressive either, with both batters struggling to face the new ball.

However, Emon got a start in the first T20I but wasn’t able to convert that into a big score, which led to the Bangla Tigers crawling their way to 154 runs.

The second T20I is an opportunity for the openers to get some runs under their belt to gain confidence for the matches to come.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Litton Das (c and wk), Mohammad Naim, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shamim Hossain

The opening pair will be followed by a new look middle order as compared to the ODI series, with the inclusion of captain Litton Das and left-hander Mohammad Naim.

The middle-order batters would be disappointed by not capitalizing on the start given by the openers, with Hridoy and Das missing out in good batting conditions.

Only positive thing for the visitors, as far as the team’s middle-order batting is concerned, was the performance of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shamim Hossain, who scored 29 off 23 and 14 runs off five balls respectively.

Bowlers: Mohammad Saifuddin, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib

The new look bowling attack looked short of plans against an aggressive Sri Lankan opening pair, which took on the bowlers in the first six overs.

Having said that, bowlers had little to do considering the score that was posted on the board, which wasn’t anywhere close to a challenging one, looking at the form of Sri Lanka’s batting lineup.

Bangla Tigers are expected to retain the same bowling combination, which includes three fast bowlers and two spinners.

The fast bowling department of the team would be taken care of by Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Mohmmad Saifuddin.

The spin bowling department, on the other hand, would be handled by Rishad Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
