The penalty that Szymon Marciniak disallowed to Julián Álvarez during the controversial shootout that decided the quarterfinals between Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid is still giving a lot to talk about. The “Rojiblancos” (Red and White) fans continue to think that the decision of the Polish referee was unfair and that the video with which UEFA justified what happened is manipulated. This has now been verified in the Señales de Humo collective, which has also resorted to an expert report as they carried out in the International Union of Atlético de Madrid Clubs.

As Mundo Deportivo has revealed, in Señales de Humo they hired the company Duque & Wittnak and in the conclusions that they will publish in the coming dates, it will be revealed that “the results thrown by the forensic analysis, do not rule out that the aforementioned video has been edited and, therefore, manipulated with respect to the original”.

In Mundo Deportivo itself it is reported that according to the expert report there is no famous double touch. “After having analyzed the sequence ‘frame by frame’, there is no reaction in the ball to a possible contact with the left foot prior to the launch of the penalty by hitting the right foot of the soccer player”.

Atlético fans refuse to accept UEFA’s explanation

The new report from Señales de Humo is further evidence of the anger and frustration felt by Atlético Madrid fans over the penalty decision. They believe that the decision was unjust and that UEFA has not provided a satisfactory explanation.

The penalty decision had a significant impact on the match, as it ultimately led to Real Madrid’s victory. Atlético Madrid fans believe that their team was robbed of a place in the Champions League semifinals.

UEFA has not yet responded to the new report from Señales de Humo. It remains to be seen whether the governing body will launch its own investigation into the matter.
