Manchester United are interested in appointing Aston Villa boss Unai Emery as their new manager, according to Fichajes. Ruben Amorim was appointed the Red Devils’ head coach only in November, but with results not improving, it has been siggested that Man Utd could look at the former Arsenal manager.
Emery did not have the best of times at Arsenal, but he has been a massive success at Villa. The Villans finished in the top four of the Premier League table last season and have progressed to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League in this campaign. Emery’s side are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 28 games, five points behind fourth-placed and defending champions Manchester City.
Man Utd are having a bad season. Things were dire under Erik ten Hag, and his successor, Amorim, has failed to do much to improve performances and results. The Red Devils are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 33 points from 27 matches. Man Utd have been knocked out of the FA Cup by Premier League rivals Fulham and will face Real Sociedad in the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League.
