Arsenal are interested in signing Alexander Isak from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Isak is Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s number one target this summer, and that the North London club are ready to pay €120 million for the Sweden international.
Isak has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world and has been in brilliant form this season. The 25-year-old Sweden international striker has scored 19 goals and given five assists in 25 Premier League games for the Magpies, who are in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League.
The former Real Sociedad striker also scored in the final of the Carabao Cup against Premier League rivals Liverpool on Sunday, as Newcastle won 2-1. If Eddie Howe’s side qualify for next season’s Champions League campaign, then it is going to be hard for Arsenal to sign Isak even for €120 million.
