Arsenal wanted to sign Christopher Nkunku from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to RMC Sport. The report has revealed that the Gunners should return for the 27-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder.
Bayern Munich also looked at a potential deal for Nkunku in the middle of the season and could be back for the France international. The former Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig attacker is ready to leave Chelsea for another club at the end of the season in search of more playing time on a regular basis.
Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023. The France international forward has scored 14 goals and given five assists in 42 appearances for the Blues this season and scored three goals in 14 matches in all competitions for the London club in the 2023-24 campaign.
