Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand, with reports suggesting he could be available for half of his €80 million release clause. As Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his squad this summer, the Danish international has emerged as a potential reinforcement in midfield.

A Gunners Fan with a Dream Move?

Hjulmand isn’t just another transfer target—he’s a lifelong Arsenal fan and even has the club’s crest tattooed on his left shoulder. While that kind of passion won’t guarantee a move, it certainly adds an interesting subplot to the Gunners’ reported interest.

Midfield Overhaul on the Horizon

Arsenal’s midfield is set for a major reshuffle, with Thomas Partey and Jorginho both expected to leave when their contracts expire. Sporting Director Andrea Berta is already working on midfield reinforcements, with Bruno Guimarães and Martin Zubimendi high on the wishlist. Joshua Kimmich is also being monitored, especially if he becomes a free agent.

Where Does Hjulmand Fit In?

Despite his impressive performances for Sporting CP, Hjulmand might not be at the top of Arsenal’s list—but he remains a viable option if priority targets fall through. However, the Gunners could face competition from Tottenham, who are also interested in the 24-year-old.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Arsenal fans will be eager to see whether their club’s interest in Hjulmand turns into something more concrete. Could the Danish midfielder’s dream move become a reality? Only time will tell.
