According to Sport, Arda Guler wants to leave Real Madrid this summer in search of regular game time elsewhere.
The Turkish winger is believed to have attracted the interests of several clubs in Germany, but he and his representatives feel Italy would be a better destination for his development. Their view is mostly based on the example of Kenan Yildiz, his international teammate who plays an important role at Juventus, while they feel Guler himself has stagnated since joining Real in 2023.
This season, the 20-year-old has been named in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for 27 La Liga matches, but only six times as a part of the starting XI, making further 11 appearances off the bench. He sat out five of the last six matches in the Spanish top flight on the bench, playing just over 30 minutes in the defeat to Real Betis on March 1st.
Real paid a fixed fee of €18 million plus add-ons that brought up the total to around €30m to sign Guler from Fenerbahce. His contract at the Santiago Bernabeu has over four years left to run.
