Andrea Zambonin, substituted within the second half of the match between Zebre Parma and Benetton Treviso on 28 December 2024, underwent instrumental assessments within the days following the match, which revealed a third-degree lesion of the medial collateral ligament of the precise knee. The participant underwent surgical procedure on 10 January 2025 to suture the ligament itself on the Città di Parma clinic by Dr Adravanti. The surgical procedure was a whole success.
Zambonin will now observe the restoration program and might be always monitored to guage his progress.
