Incoming new Arsenal sporting director, Andrea Berta, wants to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. Berta worked with Cunha when he was in charge of recruitment at Atletico Madrid, and he has reportedly already stated his admiration for the Brazil international forward.
Cunha could not make a huge impact at Atletico, but he has been a star for Wolves this season and is on fire. The 25-year-old Brazil international forward has scored 13 goals and made four assists in 26 Premier League appearances for the Wanderers this season, as the club aim to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship.
Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 55 points from 28 matches, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played 29 matches. Meanwhile, Wolves currently find themselves 17th in the standings with 23 points from 28 matches.
