Carlos Alcaraz became the tenth active player to reach the quarterfinals at all nine Masters 1000 events with his three-set win over Karen Khachanov on Tuesday in Rome.

Tennis Express

Five players – Grigor Dimitrov, Daniil Medvedev, Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev and Alcaraz – have completed the set since the start of 2024. Alcaraz has achieved the feat at a younger age than the rest of the players on the list.

Active Players to Reach QFs of All Current 9 ATP Masters 1000 Events: Alcaraz turned 22 on May 5th.

Player | Set Completed at (Age)

Novak Djokovic | 2009 Paris (22Y 5M)
Gael Monfils | 2016 Miami (29Y 6M)
Marin Cilic | 2019 Madrid (30Y 7M)
Stefanos Tsitsipas | 2021 Indian Wells (23Y 2M)
Alexander Zverev | 2021 Indian Wells (24Y 5M)
Grigor Dimitrov | 2024 Miami (32Y 10M)
Daniil Medvedev | 2024 Madrid (28Y 2M)
Hubert Hurkacz | 2024 Rome (27Y 3M)
Andrey Rublev | 2024 Montreal (26Y 9M)
Carlos Alcaraz | 2025 Rome (22Y 1M)

Alcaraz will face Jack Draper in the quarterfinals at Madrid. He was upset by the Brit at Indian Wells. Draper then went on to win his maiden Masters crown in the California desert.

“I will try to start the match much better than I did in Indian Wells just with more rhythm, not making a lot of mistakes. I just try to get into the match and we’ll see,” Alcaraz, who owns a 3-2 head-to-head edge over Draper overall, said.

“But I think we both will try to play aggressively. Who’s better will win.”
