Bareknuckle Mac? BKFC president claims Conor McGregor will ‘100 percent’ fight for the promotion (under one condition)

It’s been nearly a month since Alexander Volkanovski recaptured the featherweight championship at UFC 314 by defeating Diego Lopes. “The Great” is now looking ahead to who he’ll face next.

With wins over three of the Top 5 in the division, two names stand out: Movsar Evloev and Yair Rodriguez. They’re tied for the No. 4 spot in the rankings.

“Right after the fight people were mentioning Yair Rodriguez. Obviously, all camp, before the fight, I’m talking about Movsar Evloev,” Volkanovski said on The Ariel Helwani Show. “Obviously he’s in a position where, if you look at who deserves it the most, being undefeated and who he’s fought.”

“Obviously I’ve fought Yair. It’s weird because I like Yair. So, when he was calling for it, before the fight I wasn’t really expecting it. You had like, if people won, I’m sure he’ll call for shot. Maybe the UFC would maybe want to… Or Movsar. I thought they were pretty much the early options. I thought it would be pretty clear.

“But then Yair won and he’s calling me out. I don’t want to be the guy to turn Yair down because I like the guy. I don’t want to rob him of an opportunity if that comes forth. We’ll see what the UFC brings forward, but I do like that undefeated record (of Evloev). I’d love to take that zero especially for legacy and where I’m at.”
