Alex Pereira: 'Jiri Prochazka is superior to Jamhal Hill'

Former UFC Champ Says Sean O’Malley’s Stardom Doesn’t Make Much Sense: ‘Never Understood The Attraction’

UFC 300 struggle week is upon us.  The historic occasion is headlined by a lightweight heavyweight title bout between champion Alex Pereira (9-2) and former titleholder Jamahal Hill (12-1, 1 NC).

Pereira received the 205-pound championship by stopping former champion Jiri Prochazka within the second spherical of the UFC 295 fundamental occasion in November. 

“I really feel excellent.  I am prepared.  This camp was good.  Excellent camp.  Excellent coaching companions.  The vitality is nice,” Pereira advised SHAK MMA.     

Looking forward to the Hill matchup, Pereira believes Prochazka is a superior striker to his UFC 300 opponent.  

“I feel Jiri is extra correct and exact on his strikes, the way in which that he flows, the way in which that he fights.  Jamhal Hill has slightly bit extra benefit on his energy which makes him harmful too as a result of no one needs to take a success and go down in fights.  However when You discuss talent degree, Jiri Prochazka is superior.”   

UFC 300 can be Pereira’s first mild heavyweight title protection.  He moved up a division after shedding to Israel Adesanya in a rematch UFC 287.  He plans on bringing the identical pleasure that he did at middleweight to the 205-pound weight class.  

“I wish to deliver the identical degree of pleasure for the followers at mild heavyweight,” Pereira stated.  “I wish to make the followers wish to by the pay-per-view.  I wish to make the followers get excited for my efficiency.”
