History made after Club World Cup win

As the 2025 summer transfer window heats up, a new international transfer saga has quietly taken shape. Al-Nassr, the Saudi Arabian giants and home to Cristiano Ronaldo, are actively targeting reinforcements to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title after a disappointing third-place finish. And one of their boldest ambitions yet? A move for Christian Pulisic, the AC Milan and USMNT star who has become a centerpiece at San Siro. But how have the Rossoneri reportedly responded to the swirling interest?

Milan enters the 2025-26 campaign in full rebuild mode. After an underwhelming season that saw them finish eighth in Serie A and crash out of Europe, the Rossoneri have embarked on a sweeping structural overhaul. Massimiliano Allegri, returning to the club after a decade, has taken the reins with a clear mission: to restore Milan to its former glory.

“A great team scores 60 to 80 goals. If you concede 40, you can’t get into the top four,” Allegri stated at his unveiling. “There are two phases: when you have it, you have to score goals; when you don’t have it, you must not concede goals.”

To execute this vision, the Italian boss is counting heavily on key players—and none more so than Christian Pulisic. After joining the Serie A giant from Chelsea in 2023, the American winger has flourished, scoring 17 goals last season and tallying 32 in 100 total appearances for the club. More than just a numbers man, he has emerged as a symbol of Milan’s commercial and sporting ambitions, especially with the 2026 World Cup in the United States looming.

Pulisic’s rising stock—and Saudi eyes watching

That level of performance has not gone unnoticed. Al-Nassr, led by new manager Jorge Jesus and freshly recommitted to Cristiano Ronaldo, is aggressively retooling. Their plan includes pairing Ronaldo with a world-class winger, and Pulisic fits the profile perfectly.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport confirm that the 26-year-old is now on Al-Nassr’s radar, with potential interest involving a package worth up to $82 million. There’s also speculation about Aymeric Laporte being included in any potential deal to sway Milan, who is in need of defensive reinforcements.

While no official offer has been made, the Red and Blacks are certainly aware of the chatter. But for now, they are standing firm.

What is Milan’s response?

Despite Al-Nassr’s ambitions, AC Milan’s position remains clear: Pulisic is not for sale. “We are planning to extend Christian’s stay,” new sporting director Igli Tare reportedly told local media. “He’s vital to our future, both on and off the pitch.”

Although discussions for a contract renewal have yet to progress significantly, Milan holds a strong hand. Pulisic is under contract until 2027, with an option to extend until 2028. He currently earns $4.7 million per season, and previous discussions for a raise to $5.8 million did not reach a final agreement. Still, Milan’s goal is to avoid entering the summer of 2026 with Pulisic nearing the end of his deal—when his value could be compromised.

Moreover, Pulisic’s commercial importance cannot be overstated. He is a bridge between Milan and the growing American fanbase, driving merchandise sales and visibility in a key international market. In other words, he’s not just a winger—he’s a brand asset.
