GREENSBORO, N.C. — Aaron Rai took benefit of Max Greyserman’s late meltdown to win the Wyndham Championship on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title.

Rai closed with a 6-under 64, with the 29-year-old Englishman making a 6½-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th to put up an 18-under 262 within the regular-season finale at Sedgefield Nation Membership.

Greyserman, the 29-year-old former Duke participant, shot 69 to complete two strokes again on a day when everybody performed 36 holes and a few just a few extra within the occasion washed out by rain Thursday and delayed Friday and Saturday.

Rai was 4 strokes again after Greyserman holed out from 91 yards for eagle on the par-4 thirteenth, then had an surprising share of the lead a gap later when Greyserman drove out of bounds and made a quadruple-bogey 8 on 14.

Greyserman — who shot 60 within the second spherical — birdied the par-5 fifteenth to drag a shot forward, then four-putted the par-3 sixteenth for a double bogey and parred the final two holes.

J.J. Spaun (64) and Ryo Hisatsune (67) tied for third at 15 underneath. Beginner Luke Clanton bogeyed the ultimate two holes for a 69 to tie for fifth with Austin Eckroat (67) at 14 underneath.

Second-round chief Matt Kuchar was tied for twelfth at 11 underneath when he elected to cease play on the 18th due to darkness. He’ll return Monday morning to complete.

He wanted a victory to increase his FedEx Cup playoff streak. He was the one participant to succeed in each earlier postseason.

The highest 70 on the factors listing certified for the playoff opener subsequent week in Tennessee.
