Following his departure from Al Hilal, Neymar has been linked to several European clubs as a potential January signing, including a possible return to FC Barcelona—a move that remains on the table for the start of next season. Now, in pursuit of a return to European soccer, Neymar’s agent has reportedly offered him to another UEFA Champions League side.

Pini Zahavi, the agent who facilitated Neymar’s high-profile transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, has been closely involved in the Brazilian’s career decisions ever since. Now playing for Santos, and with his contract set to expire in June 2025, reports suggest that a summer move is highly likely.

According to Sport, Zahavi has offered Neymar to Bayern Munich ahead of next season. This potential move aligns with Bayern’s rebuilding process, with the futures of key wingers like Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, and Kingsley Coman still uncertain—potentially creating an opportunity for Neymar to join the German giants.

While Neymar’s contract at Santos includes an optional one-year extension, the Brazilian is gradually regaining fitness following his lengthy ACL injury. Amid ongoing speculation, both Barcelona and Bayern Munich appear to be Neymar’s most viable destinations should he return to Europe.

Neymar’s goal: Returning to top-level soccer

Neymar’s recovery from his long-term ACL injury has raised concerns among European clubs regarding his ability to return to peak performance. Seeking match fitness, the forward made a surprising return to Santos, driven by one clear objective: preparing for the 2026 World Cup.

On multiple occasions, Neymar has emphasized that his primary goal is to feature in what he believes will be his last World Cup appearance. To achieve this, he intends to play at the highest level, which he believes is possible only by competing with Brazil’s national team and returning to European soccer.

Despite questions surrounding his fitness, Neymar is still regarded as one of the world’s top talents, as he has shown during his brief stint back at Santos. As reported by Sport, while Neymar has been offered to both Barcelona and Bayern Munich, neither club currently considers him a top priority, though the door remains open for a potential deal.

Neymar has been officially called up to Brazil’s national team for their upcoming matches against Colombia and Argentina. His role in these crucial fixtures may prove vital in determining his readiness for a return to European competition. With Zahavi maintaining a strong relationship with Barcelona—having played a key role in bringing Hansi Flick to the club—and Bayern Munich still shaping their squad for the future, a summer return to Europe remains a plausible scenario.
