Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Lamont Roach Jr. came face-to-face earlier today after they both hit their respective marks during the official PBC weigh ins (video replay here), staged ahead of their highly-anticipated boxing showdown this Sat. night (March 1) inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Their “Fight Night” pay-per-view (PPV) will stream LIVE on Prime Video for a price of $79.95.
During their intense face off, the two combatants shook on a side bet of $250K going to the winner, adding further intrigue and incentive to secure the victory.
“Tank” currently holds the WBA Lightweight title and is widely-considered to be the best fighter in the division, one that includes Ryan Garcia, Pitbull Cruz, and Shakur Stevenson, among others. As for Roach, he is the WBA Super Featherweight titleholder and is out to secure one of the biggest wins of his career.
Davis is not expecting any issues come fight night.
“A rude awakening, for sure” Davis said (via Bad Left Hook). “He just doing what he has to do, trying to psych himself out for the fight but come March 1st it’s all about skill vs. skill and who has the better skill that night is going to be the victorious person.”
