Leeds United are interested in signing Aaron Ramsdale from Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. The report has claimed that Brentford are also keen on a deal for the former Arsenal goalkeeper.
Ramsdale joined Southampton from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2024. The England international goalkeeper is a regular in the first team for the Saints when he is fit and available, but with the club likely to get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, he could leave.
There is a relegation clause in Ramsdale’s contract at Southampton, and Leeds will have to trigger it if they are to bring him to Elland Road. The West Yorkshire are aiming to win automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season. Illan Meslier is not having a great time, and Ramsdale could replace the Frenchman between the posts.
