The UFC Seattle main event on Saturday between former two-division champion Henry Cejudo and No. 8 ranked Song Yadong was heating up just before it came to an abrupt halt.

Cejudo had difficulty dealing with Yadong’s range in the early going of the fight. In the second round, Cejudo began finding success with his striking. In the third, both fighters were winging heavy punches meant to end the fight before an accidental eye poke rendered Cejudo unable to continue. Because Cejudo was unable to continue due to a foul, the fight was decided by the scorecards from the first three rounds. Yadong got a unanimous decision nod from the judges and offered to rematch Cejudo in his post-fight interview.

“That was totally an accident. The result is not what I want. I’m so sorry, Henry. He’s a legend, and I think we should run it back,” Yadong said in his post-fight interview.

While Yadong and Cejudo may want a rematch, UFC CEO Dana White shot down the idea during the UFC Seattle Post-Fight Press Conference.

When asked if Cejudo and Song should rematch, White responded, “Not at all. Not even a little bit.”

“I just don’t want to see it again,” White continued.
