Manchester United are interested in signing Mateo Retegui from Atalanta in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on a possible deal for the 25-year-old Italy international forward.

Retegui has been on the books of Atalanta since the summer of 2024 when he joined from fellow Italian club Genoa. The forward has scored 23 goals and given four assists in 33 matches in all competitions so far this season, including 20 in Serie A.

The Italian star found the back of the net nine times and gave three assists in 31 appearances for Genoa in the 2023-24 campaign. Atalanta are third in the Serie A table at the moment with 50 points from 24 matches, just four points behind leaders Napoli. The Italian club will take on Club Brugge in the two-legged knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League in order to advance to the Round of 16 of Europe’s premier club competition.
