The 2024 NFL season concludes tomorrow with Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs are attempting to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles will look to avenge their loss against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. A win tomorrow will also give the Eagles their second Super Bowl title, their first coming in 2018 in Super Bowl LII.

Following the two championship games that sent Kansas City and Philadelphia to the Super Bowl, I asked the following questions:

Which team do you have winning Super Bowl LIX and why? Beyond who will win, who do you have being the MVP of the game?

Below are some of your answers and thoughts on the question of the day-

Dolfanjoe sees the NFL tilting things to please the Taylor Swift fan base.

C’mon now ! The NFL cannot let the All those millions of Swifty’s down ! And as we saw in the Playoff’s, regardless of making a mockery of the game they cannot do that ! What will it be this game ? An extra couple holding penalties, pass interference. Maybe just a questionable call on whether it was a first down or not ! But the timing of them will be everything ! Just enough to stop momentum, change of field position. Maybe they will give to the Eagles, if the betting lines are just right. After all if the money is right, it would offset those millions of temporary Swifty fan’s !

finfanfromsiam says the Eagles take the trophy on the back of MVP Barkley.

Winner: the Beagles! MVP: Barclay!

MIAMI235 predicts no three in a row for KC.

Let’s go with Philly stopping the 3 peat. They scored a heck of a lot of points last week!

dedstrk316 sees things going opposite to what the “experts” see.

This reminds me of when the Broncos played the Seahawks and everybody was saying that the Broncos were going to destroy the Seahawks. Everybody meaning the talking heads all over the airwaves. I kept thinking “I must be crazy am I the only one that sees it so differently that I think the Broncos are going to get snuffed?” Give me the Eagles running it all over and around the Chiefs. Even though that makes me throw up in my mouth a bit.

Tua2HillWaddle believes it all goes to the guy with the most face time in commercials.

Seriously? Lol… the team with all the commercials. The mvp is the guy that’s always in them. The old “Bundlerooooski.”

herbert pollack has a question of his own.

The Eagles offense looks to be humming, can Spags slow them down?

Francesco ITA wants the Eagles to win but doubts it goes down like that.

if Philly wins they should change the nick into “Kingslayers” I doubt that…but i still hope…

Spok507 doesn’t care.

Honestly? Don’t care. Wish there was a way they could both lose. Seems to be my attitude towards the SB lately. I watch for the commercials. Drinking game will be bogus penalties and commercials with Mahomes and/or Kelce during the game.

21Dave says that the threepeat will happen.

Chiefs , until you can beat the best QB in the game and the best Coach you are always second fiddle. As much as I love Fangio, his soft coverage and keeping everything in front of you will get picked apart . As far as the Eagles with a QB that is really just a RB with a good arm, not hard to stop that. Stack the box and make him throw. He will throw 2 picks and it will change the game each time allowing Chiefs to get two free scores. It will be a good game but the Chiefs will pull away!!

cyberflea believes that the officiating might be suspect tomorrow.

I’m hoping for the Eagles to pull off the upset, but I just don’t think it will happen. The Kansas City Swifties will be the first team to win three straight Super Bowls. Besides that’s what the NFL wants as well. I’m curious to see how the officiating will affect the game.

Yarganaught thinks something crazy will happen at halftime. The NFL certainly hopes so!

Which team do you have winning Super Bowl LIX and why? KC wins 24-21

Beyond who will win, who do you have being the MVP of the game? Travis Kelce… not for his stats during the game, but for his marriage proposal to Swift during halftime. He will have cemented the attention of millions of new female fans for next season. Yay?

SlayerNation1 has Philly edging out KC on the back of Barkley.

There would be a certain smug satisfaction as a fan of an irrelevant, downtrodden team in the thought of KC having to burn their prefabricated “3-Peat” shirts and caps because they failed.

Despite the officials doing their best to tip the scales, PHI wins it. Barkley is the X-Factor and the SB MVP.

It turns out, the RB position isn’t dead. What is dead, RBs who can’t break a tackle, which is 90% of them.

PHI 31- KC 27

Miami7 says wash, rinse, repeat.

KC….Mahomes

herbert pollack is more interested in the grub that his friend is serving.

Really dont care, I can be happy for Mahomes/Kelce/Reid to get another. Would just like a good game and hope that my friend has good food.

SuperG! is all about the squares.

Who am I rooting for? Meh. I’m rooting for my squares to hit!

sdphinsfan says it’s the Chiefs again…

27-21 Chiefs….

The consensus is clearly that the Chiefs will pull off the three-peat. Mahomes wins the MVP if KC wins, and Barkley takes it if the title goes to Philly. I am personally going with Philly and Barkley, but this game might come down to who has the ball last. Thank you to each of you who took the time to answer our question of the day. Please join us tomorrow for our Super Bowl LIX live thread.
