Caroline Dubois will defend her WBC World Lightweight Title against WBC #1 contender Bo Mi Re Shin on Friday, March 7th at the Royal Albert Hall in London, presented by BOXXER, live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.

Dubois’ world championship defence will provide chief support for the thrilling all-British welterweight world title unification clash between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price MBE, which headlines a historic all women’s boxing event at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall.

‘Sweet Caroline’ Dubois captured the WBC Interim World Title with a one-sided points win over Maira Moneo in Barnsley in August. The Tokyo 2020 Olympian was then upgraded to full WBC Champion when Irish boxing legend Katie Taylor opted to vacate her lightweight title rather than face her.

Making the first defence of her WBC crown on January 11th in Sheffield, Dubois had to settle for a frustrating technical draw against Jessica Camara. The 24-year-old Londoner dropped Camara in the opening round and looked set to end the fight in spectacular fashion when an accidental clash of heads opened a cut above Camara’s left eye and forced an end to the fight.

Like Dubois, South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin is known for her all-action style. The 30-year-old from Seoul has 10 knockouts from her 18 victories. She is a former WBC International Champion, who is currently ranked #1 in the world with the WBC. She is undefeated in her last three contests following a split decision loss to former long reigning WBC World Champion Delfine Persoon.

Caroline Dubois said: “I’m excited to defend my WBC World Title against Bo Mi Re Shin. I think she is going to be a tough challenge, but I believe I’m levels above. I’m excited to be a part of such an incredible show. Women’s boxing is rocking at the moment. It’s doing amazing. It’s proven time and time again that it’s here and it’s here to stay.”

Bo Mi Re Shin said: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to challenge Caroline Dubois for the WBC World Title. I am world number one for a reason, and I have earned my chance. I have been preparing for Caroline for two years since I first heard of a potential fight with her. On March 7th, I will become world champion.”

BOXXER Founder and CEO Ben Shalom: “This is a great match up. WBC champion Caroline Dubois defending her world title against the WBC’s number one contender Bo Mi Re Shin. They say styles make fights and this promises to be something special. Caroline and Bo Mi Re are both aggressive, come forward fighters. They both possess devastating knockout power. So expect fireworks! This is going to be an incredible fight, fitting of the historic occasion.”

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin is the latest fight confirmed for BOXXER’s ‘Unstoppable’ fight night – a historic all-women’s world championship event at the Royal Albert Hall taking place on Friday March 7th as the curtain-raiser to the International Women’s Day 2025 global campaign the following day.

Headlined by the WBC, IBF, WBA and Ring Magazine World Welterweight Unification clash between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price MBE, and featuring an exciting all-British featherweight showdown between Karriss Artingstall and Raven Chapman and the professional debut of Olympic history maker Cindy Ngamba with more fights to be announced soon.
